Rich DiSilvio - Biography

Rich DiSilvio is an author of both fiction and non-fiction. He is a scholar with a broad spectrum of historical knowledge and has utilized those assets in his three books:

A Blazing Gilded Age: an historical novel.
Liszt's Dante Symphony: an historical thriller.
The Winds of Time: a non-fictional study of the titans who shaped Western civilization.

Rich DiSilvio's passions for history, art, music and architecture have yield contributions in each field. He had owned and operated Creative Design Contractors, which provided architectural design and remodeling services; he founded his own advertising art & design studio, Digital Vista; has engaged in several sideline projects, such as writing articles for magazines and web resources; designed the American Leaders gift collection, which offers mugs and t-shirts featuring America's founders and presidents; and even pioneered the first interactive software program for autism.

DiSilvio's work in the music and entertainment industries includes biographies and commentaries on the great composers (such as the top-rated Franz Liszt Site and Peter Tchaikovsky page), and the Pantheon of Composers porcelain collection, which he conceived and created for Lincoln Center, which later retailed at other performing arts centers nationwide and throughout Europe.

Rich's creative art and new media have adorned the projects of numerous super groups and celebrities, including, Cher, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Yes, The Moody Blues, Madonna, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Miles Davis, Janet Jackson, Jay-Z, Alice Cooper, Queen, The Rolling Stones and many more.

He has also worked on projects for historical documentaries and cable TV shows, including Killing Hitler, The War Zone series, Operation Valkyrie, James Cameron’s The Lost Tomb of Jesus, Return to Kirkuk, Monty Python: Almost the Truth, Celebrity Mole and many others.
